ND YAG laser

ABOUT THE TREATMENT

The laser device that our Skin expert works with is the ND Yag laser. Why was this laser chosen and not, for example, the Pico laser.

I therefore opted for a good quality YAG laser. This one is less dangerous. And works sufficiently to correct and/or remove incorrect cases.

This laser effortlessly breaks down pigment in the skin. Without leaving scars and broken skin.

What can you treat with the ND Yag laser?

Removing, among other things,

o Semi permanent make-up

o Make the gray / bluish permanent make-up on the eyebrows brown again (anti-gray treatment)

o Tattoos

o Age spots and pigment spots

Before the first consultation, a medical history form will be completed to determine whether you are eligible for Laser removal. Some of the above reasons do not automatically mean that you cannot undergo these procedures.

Some medical conditions only require a statement from your GP or specialist in which you consent to the procedure. For other high-risk conditions, the client may need to sign a disclaimer if he or she wishes to undergo the procedure.

NB:

  • a few weeks before the treatment, but also during the treatment, you are not allowed to sunbathe or use a tanning bed.

  • Are taking Roaccutane (you should stop this 3 to 6 times before the treatment).

  • Taking vitamin A (you must stop 2 weeks in advance).

How many treatments do you actually need?

This can never be said in advance. We know and cannot always estimate in advance how much pigment is in the skin. How does the skin react? Does the skin in combination with the laser quickly break down the pigment?

How saturated is the skin with pigment?

In any case, we will get the most out of every treatment.

As for the removal of age spots and/or pigment spots, this will be about 2 to 3 treatments.

Do's and don'ts with an ND YAG laser treatment:

- Do not irritate the area for 2 days after the treatment, for example by scratching.
- Apply at least SPF30 to the treated area for 2 weeks, provided it is exposed to the sun.
- Do not sunbathe for 2 weeks (not even under a sunbed).
- do not wear lenses near the eyes during laser treatment.
- you can just take a shower, but not too hot.
- No sauna, swimming pool or steam bath for 2 weeks.
- 2 Do not use srcubs on the treated area

- By means of light energy, tiny particles are shot.
The tissue heats up and this activates firboblasts. The activation of fibroblasts accelerates the production of collagen and ensures firmness and elasticity of the skin. In addition, the pigment particles are shot into miniscule particles, which are then discharged and eventually urinated out.

What should I take into account for the treatment

Pigment is produced by the pigment cells in the top layer of skin. Pigment is responsible for the color of the skin. Sunlight causes the skin to make more melanin and the skin turns brown. With pigment disorders, there is too much or too little pigment in the skin.

Causes of pigment spots:

  • UV light

  • Pregnancy

  • Hormone treatment

  • Medicines

  • After inflammation (post-inflammatory)

  • Fragrances, essential oils

  • Aging

For optimal results, it is important that your skin is as light as possible during the treatment. We advise you to avoid the sun for at least 4 weeks before the treatment. If sun exposure is unavoidable, provide the skin with a good quality sunblock.
